SKU: IP10-ER Category:

Ipamorelin (Aib-His-D-2Nal-D-Phe-Lys-NH2) is a synthetic pentapeptide ghrelin receptor agonist with a molecular weight of 711.85 g/mol. It was specifically engineered for selectivity, stimulating GH release via the ghrelin receptor (GHSR-1a) with minimal off-target effects on cortisol, prolactin, or ACTH secretion observed at research concentrations.

This receptor selectivity profile distinguishes ipamorelin from earlier GHRP compounds (GHRP-2, GHRP-6) and has made it one of the most commonly referenced GH secretagogue peptides in the published literature. Research has examined its effects in GH deficiency models, age-related GH decline, anabolic signaling, and muscle satellite cell studies.

Each Etched Research vial contains 10mg of lyophilized powder.

Research at a Glance
  • What it is: A small lab-made peptide studied as a selective growth hormone secretagogue, a compound that nudges the body to release its own growth hormone.
  • Researchers have studied it for: Growth hormone release without raising stress hormones, its short half-life in the blood, and return of bowel function after surgery.
  • Evidence level: Thin and early. Mostly older animal work, one small human pharmacokinetic study, and one human trial that did not beat placebo.
  • The short version: The ipamorelin record is thin, mostly older and mostly preclinical. Early animal work showed it triggered a GH pulse without stirring up cortisol, but the one larger human trial (in bowel-surgery patients) missed its main goal. Effects on muscle, strength, or body composition in healthy adults are not established, and none of this is a safety conclusion.

Frequently asked questions

Does the product come with instructions?

No. Etched supplies research materials, not use instructions. Each vial ships labeled with the compound name, the labeled amount, and the lot number, and that is what comes in the box. Etched does not provide instructions for use, dosing, or administration for any product, on the label, on this page, or by email. General laboratory handling notes (storage, what bacteriostatic water is) are on the FAQ page at https://etchedresearch.com/faq/. All products are sold for research use only, not for human consumption.

What is the amount of peptide in this product?

The label reads Ipamorelin 10mg. That figure is the labeled net quantity of Ipamorelin in the vial, supplied as lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder. It is not the weight of the vial and not a reconstituted volume. Where a Janoshik Analytical report exists for a lot, the measured result for that lot is on the report itself, and the reports that exist are listed on the COA page at https://etchedresearch.com/coa/. Etched ships lyophilized powder only.

Are additional supplies needed?

Nothing else is included, and Etched sells the lyophilized compound only. Bacteriostatic water is sterile water with a small amount of benzyl alcohol added, used in laboratory settings to reconstitute lyophilized (freeze-dried) research peptides into solution. Etched does not sell bacteriostatic water as a product. It is described here only to explain the reconstitution step in a research context. Any supplies a laboratory setting requires are sourced by the researcher.

How is purity verified?

By a third-party laboratory, named. Janoshik Analytical confirms compound identity by mass spectrometry and measures purity by HPLC. Etched does not use vague "third-party tested" language without naming the lab. The measured number for a tested lot is on that lot's report, not a mood word. Where a Janoshik report exists for a compound it is listed on the COA page at https://etchedresearch.com/coa/, and the report itself carries the lot number and the measured purity. Not every listing has a report posted yet, and the COA page shows which do.

Where do products ship from?

Etched ships within the United States only. There is no international shipping. Orders are fulfilled domestically from within the USA. Orders ship in plain, unmarked packaging with no indication of the contents on the outside.

Who is eligible to purchase?

Etched sells to buyers who are 21 years of age or older and who are qualified researchers, research professionals, or affiliated with a research institution, purchasing for in vitro laboratory research. Every order requires an attestation to those three points at checkout, and the order will not process without it. Research Use Only (RUO) means a product is sold only as a material for laboratory and research use. RUO compounds are not drugs, are not approved by the FDA for human consumption, and are not sold or intended for personal use. Shipping is to United States addresses only.
